The Human Value

A thought has been plaguing in my mind, since the past few days. Today, the Indian Economy is seeing heights never scaled before, what with the Sensex looking to cross the 15,000 mark soon and the GDP close to 9%. More people are getting jobs; not just jobs, but jobs which pay the salaries they want and work on particulars which interest them. Today, the UPA Government is trying to revamp old Governance laws, to attract more FDI and overall Industrial progress.
Seeing such moves more and more MNCs are seeing India as their next source of growth. As an Indian, one feels proud reading all these statistics. Now, in Germany, labor is expensive. Infact, it is almost the highest in the World, considering wages at €22 per hour. Compare this to labor costs in developing coutries. Although, the table alongside is extremely old, it serves as a guideline for my comment: The Human Value.
Why is it that we pay less to people who do the same job, but in different places? I understand the Economics; Demand & Supply, Economic advantage, Geographic location, etc; but my thought is based more on a Humanistic perspective. I am not expecting an answer, because all answers will finally lead to the Economic outlook... thats why I leave it just as a thought/comment.
